All of us involved in hosting this event and leading the fund raising effort are parents, grand parents, and even great grand parents. Every one of us has looked these children in the eyes and seen the eyes of our own children and grand children looking back at us. It is heart breaking to imagine this happening to any family, any child. So we do everything we can to help. We know that individually we can't beat this, but collectively we will. Since 1984 Ride for Kids® and the motorcyclist community has raised over $40 Million for research. In 1984, 9 out of 10 children diagnosed with a brain tumor died within 5 years. Today that number is only 4 out of 10. RESEARCH WORKS - YOUR DOLLARS HELP!
"Although my physical pain was great, I have always believed that the emotional pain was so much greater for my loved ones around me who had to watch me (their little girl, niece, granddaughter etc.) suffer. The turmoil that my cancer caused for my family was horrific, but it forced my family to come together at a time of hardship and we are all that much stronger because of it. ..." Andriana Moschouris
"Michael endured the pain of five brain surgeries and countless days of poking and prodding, trusting strangers who sometimes hurt him in order to help him. He had chemotherapy, whole brain radiation and gamma knife radiation. He has scars on his head from surgery and scars on his tummy from putting in a port and a shunt," Rita, Mother of 3
